@Golinchen[DSKAG]: your Linux OS is too old. Please upgrade to a recent version.

even with a manual compile install found with google:

sudo apt-get install gawk bison -y
wget -c https://ftp.gnu.org/gnu/glibc/glibc-2.34.tar.gz
tar -zxvf glibc-2.34.tar.gz && cd glibc-2.34
mkdir glibc-build && cd glibc-build
../configure --prefix=/opt/glibc-2.34
make
sudo make install

sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libzip.so.5 /usr/lib/libzip.so.4

it doesnt work....same error.

Next Distro linux mint zena 22.3 installed, Result:

@dskagcommunity:
Ok thanks for sharing this! I tried and it's looking good so far, the tasks keep running for some minutes already.
I installed the same version zena 22.3 with git and client 7.24.1.
Fingers crossed that it keeps running :D

Can you please share the exact error message? It seems to affect only some Windows versions.

I have this problem with differrent Windows 10 and Windows 11 Versions.
I tried on one Machine the latest GIT 2.52.0. Without success.

See Tasks W10 https://boinc.loda-lang.org/loda/result.php?resultid=17995064

Im happy it helped ya. Should be communicated from the projectadmin how to run his project, but ok i wanted to run it that badly so i luckily figured it out myself and i was sure it is needed by many people in here ^^

I wish it would run under windows too, or on the other linux machines, but im happy with that for the moment ^^

Message 1050 - Posted: 6 Feb 2026, 13:32:36 UTC

Just started contributing to this project. I'm running Windows 11 Pro and was also getting "Computation Errors" on every task as everybody else has been getting recently. I figured out a solution that seemed to working for me and wanted to share to see if it helps anybody else running Windows.

It seems like the loda-260125-windows-x86.exe executable file it looking for a DLLs called libcurl.dll and zlib1.dll.

To fix if I did the following:

    1) cd to BOINC project directory(C:\ProgramData\BOINC\projects\boinc.loda-lang.org_loda)
    2) Copy libcurl-260125-windows-x86.dll to libcurl.dll
    3) Copy zlib1-260125-windows-x86.dll to zlib1.dll

After making these changes I pulled down new tasks and everything starting working normally.

Hope this helps

No Windows 10 Pro or Windows 11 Pro. x64.

Copying the files like gbusler described, helped to overcome the Problem.
