You restarted BOINC after copying the bin files into the system32 folder ? Here is the link for 7.83.0 - https://curl.se/windows/dl-7.83.0/curl-7.83.0-win64-mingw.zip Have you looked in the logs provided by Christian, click on Computing in menu above then on Logs, does it give any information about reason for failure ? I haven't run my Win 7 boxes for a while but I doubt anything has changed that would make the tasks fail, I can try if 7.83.0 doesn't work for you. |

That suggests that it is not finding the curl-ca-bundle.crt file that you copied into the system32 directory. That file is there and is the one from the 7.83.0 bin folder ? There are 4 files to be copied into the system32 directory. |

I see your Win 11 box is already submitting findings... First program for A256003: a(n) = 0 followed by numerators of 2*A176327(n)/A176289(n). Terms: 0,2,0,1,0,-1,0,1,0,-1. Submitted by AL ADIM |

I renamed curl-ca-bundle.crt in the System32 directory on a Win 7 box and ran a task and got this error: 2022-07-10 06:24:57|INFO |Checking environment 2022-07-10 06:24:57|WARN |Setting environment variable: COMSPEC=C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.exe 2022-07-10 06:24:57|WARN |Setting environment variable: SYSTEMROOT=C:\WINDOWS 2022-07-10 06:24:57|WARN |Setting environment variable: PATH=C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\Program Files\Git\cmd;C:\Program Files\Git\usr\bin 2022-07-10 06:24:57|WARN |Setting environment variable: TMP=C:\ProgramData\BOINC/projects/boinc.loda-lang.org_loda\ 2022-07-10 06:24:57|WARN |Setting environment variable: TEMP=C:\ProgramData\BOINC/projects/boinc.loda-lang.org_loda\ curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate More details here: https://curl.se/docs/sslcerts.html curl failed to verify the legitimacy of the server and therefore could not establish a secure connection to it. You can try putting a copy of the curl-ca-bundle.crt file into the project area (boinc.loda-lang.org_loda) on your G drive, the tasks will look there. You don't need to restart BOINC, a new task starting will either find it or it won't. |

File size is the same as mine? I could post my copy, it's just a text file, but if yours is the same size and file extensions aren't hidden so nothing else is in the file name then I give up ! The error you get is when it can't find the required certificate in that file. I've checked that having the file in the project area makes it work. |

fatal: unsafe repository ('C:/ProgramData/BOINC/projects/boinc.loda-lang.org_loda/programs' is owned by someone else) Did you install Boinc and Git with your Windows account that is now running Boinc ? Check to see who owns that directory and why Git might have a problem. |

Task 728681 Name wu_1656613470_22243_2 So far this workunit has failed for two users (including me). Logs wu_1656613470_22243_2_r1904959321_0 Peak working set size 986.02 MB Any way to fix this out of physical memory issue on the application side of things? Not worth price/return on investment of upgrading memory on this PC. Been working fine for several weeks withou any 'memory issue'. |

To my knowledge, BOINC allows only to specify the maximum memory usage, but not the expected or minimum required amount. If there is such a setting we are happy to set it. |

For the fatal error: it looks like you have been running BOINC with different users. You could try to remove and add the program again. Alternatively, you could stop BOINC and delete the programs folder. When you restart it, it will recreate it. |
