I have several workunits where both initial replication tasks have been sent to the same computer. Examples: Workunit 18294 - Tasks 41024 and 41025 have both been assigned to computer 139. Workunit 18357 - Tasks 41150 and 41151 have both been assigned to computer 139. I'm assuming this is an assignment error, as it'd be kinda pointless to have quorum of 2 from the same computer. |

This is not an issue. No resources are being wasted. LODA does random mining, not a structured or exhaustive search. As long as the miners are running, they can produce meaningful results (no duplicate work is done). |

As long as the miners are running, they can produce meaningful results (no duplicate work is done). If you are saying that the 2 copies of the workunit do different work, what is the point of sending out 2 copies? How can they be valided againtst each other? It would be beter to set replication to 1 in that case. |

Yes, we'll review the job configuration. Thanks for your feedback! |

I have made the following configuration change: <one_result_per_user_per_wu>1</one_result_per_user_per_wu> (it was 0). Should that fix the problem? https://boinc.berkeley.edu/trac/wiki/ProjectOptions |

If the nature of work done at LODA makes replication redundant, I would suggest setting initial replication and minimum quorum to 1 instead. Or at the very least, use Adaptive Replication. |

Thanks for your feedback. Do you mean like this? https://github.com/loda-lang/loda-boinc/blob/master/templates/loda_in#L11-L12 |

I have made the following configuration change: Should do as 0 in terms of what is allowed by BOINC usually means, "no restriction." |

Yes, I have reverted that (back to 0) |

Are these supposed to be a replication of 1 now? I just downloaded and ran several today and they are still 2. https://boinc.loda-lang.org/loda/workunit.php?wuid=2560 |

I think that is still an old WU. Here a new one: https://boinc.loda-lang.org/loda/workunit.php?wuid=34726 |
