All the tasks on my 16 Raspberry Pi4's are ending in an error. All of the 16 RPI's have Linux Debian Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm) [6.6.31+rpt-rpi-v8|libc 2.36] 64 bit operating system. Any help would be appreciated. There are two error.s and I have suspended work.. One error has 47 tasks with the error: "Exit status 195 (0x000000C3) EXIT_CHILD_FAILED" An example of one is below https://boinc.loda-lang.org/loda/result.php?resultid=9293873 Name wu_1725489179_63940_0 Workunit 6909944 Created 7 Sep 2024, 16:12:08 UTC Sent 7 Sep 2024, 18:07:35 UTC Report deadline 14 Sep 2024, 18:07:35 UTC Received 7 Sep 2024, 18:11:24 UTC Server state Over Outcome Computation error Client state Compute error Exit status 195 (0x000000C3) EXIT_CHILD_FAILED Computer ID 10461 Run time 1 min 36 sec CPU time 5 sec Validate state Invalid Credit 0.00 Device peak FLOPS 1.00 GFLOPS Application version LODA v2409.02 aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu Peak working set size 15.59 MB Peak swap size 99.71 MB Peak disk usage 0.01 MB Stderr output <core_client_version>7.20.5</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> process exited with code 195 (0xc3, -61)</message> <stderr_txt> 04:08:49 (59268): wrapper (7.21.26018): starting 04:08:49 (59268): wrapper (7.21.26018): starting 04:08:49 (59268): wrapper: running ../../projects/boinc.loda-lang.org_loda/loda-240902-linux-arm64 (boinc -H 2) 04:10:25 (59268): loda exited; CPU time 0.035954 04:10:25 (59268): app exit status: 0x6 04:10:25 (59268): called boinc_finish(195) </stderr_txt> ]]> There are 26 tasks with this error "Outcome Validate error" without a reason or error number https://boinc.loda-lang.org/loda/result.php?resultid=9293767 Name wu_1725489179_63838_0 Workunit 6909842 Created 7 Sep 2024, 16:00:26 UTC Sent 7 Sep 2024, 18:08:01 UTC Report deadline 14 Sep 2024, 18:08:01 UTC Received 7 Sep 2024, 18:11:22 UTC Server state Over Outcome Validate error Client state Done Exit status 0 (0x00000000) Computer ID 10450 Run time 1 min 13 sec CPU time Validate state Invalid Credit 0.00 Device peak FLOPS 1.00 GFLOPS Application version LODA v2409.02 aarch64-unknown-linux-gnu Peak working set size 2.75 MB Peak swap size 75.47 MB Peak disk usage 0.01 MB Stderr output <core_client_version>7.20.5</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <stderr_txt> 04:09:21 (60561): wrapper (7.21.26018): starting 04:09:21 (60561): wrapper (7.21.26018): starting 04:09:21 (60561): wrapper: running ../../projects/boinc.loda-lang.org_loda/loda-240902-linux-arm64 (boinc -H 2) 04:10:33 (60561): loda exited; CPU time 0.012851 04:10:33 (60561): called boinc_finish(0) </stderr_txt> ]]> ![]() Proud Founder of ![]() Have a look at my WebCam |

OK I think it must have been a memory problem. I started to run LODA on it's own and the work validated. I was running Asteroids and Einstein on the RPI's as well as LODA when the error occurred. ![]() Proud Founder of ![]() Have a look at my WebCam |

I have the same error on a iMac with 40 GB memory and LODA is the only CPU project running at the moment (19 tasks) + only PrimeGrid in GPU with very little RAM use, so I frankly doubt it could be any "memory issue". There are 24 errored for 260 in success (+63 pending), some run only a few seconds and some run almost 3mn before getting the error. <core_client_version>8.0.2</core_client_version> <![CDATA[ <message> process exited with code 195 (0xc3, -61)</message> <stderr_txt> 00:07:57 (45664): wrapper (7.21.26017): starting 00:07:57 (45664): wrapper (7.21.26017): starting 00:07:57 (45664): wrapper: running ../../projects/boinc.loda-lang.org_loda/loda-250108-macos-x86 (boinc -H 4) 00:10:42 (45664): loda exited; CPU time 1.885757 00:10:42 (45664): app exit status: 0x6 00:10:42 (45664): called boinc_finish(195) </stderr_txt> ]]> État à la sortie 195 (0x000000C3) EXIT_CHILD_FAILED |

You need to have git installed. The easiest way to do that for a mac is to install Xcode. And then after installing, you need to run the app at least once. That will set it up and then allow the app to use git. |
