When you go to the home page, you see a message about needing git. But once you log in, and go back to the home page, the message is gone. Not sure why, but I think it needs to stay there, wether you are logged in or not.

Better yet would also have a locked / sticky topic in forum including the information from home page what EXTRA needs installed, etc to successfully run project.
