For the fatal error: it looks like you have been running BOINC with different users. You could try to remove and add the program again. Alternatively, you could stop BOINC and delete the programs folder. When you restart it, it will recreate it.

You mean project and not program ?

fatal: unsafe repository ('C:/ProgramData/BOINC/projects/boinc.loda-lang.org_loda/programs' is owned by someone else)

Did you install Boinc and Git with your Windows account that is now running Boinc ?
Check to see who owns that directory and why Git might have a problem.

Błąd przetwarzania = processing error

Ehhh...

Your .png file needed https at the front of the link, it had http.

Have you looked in the logs provided by Christian, click on Computing in menu above then on Logs, does it give any information about reason for failure ?

You have credit, so it used to work on this computer before ?

File size is the same as mine?
I could post my copy, it's just a text file, but if yours is the same size and file extensions aren't hidden so nothing else is in the file name then I give up !

The error you get is when it can't find the required certificate in that file. I've checked that having the file in the project area makes it work.

You can try putting a copy of the curl-ca-bundle.crt file into the project area (boinc.loda-lang.org_loda) on your G drive, the tasks will look there.
You don't need to restart BOINC, a new task starting will either find it or it won't.

That suggests that it is not finding the curl-ca-bundle.crt file that you copied into the system32 directory.
That file is there and is the one from the 7.83.0 bin folder ?
There are 4 files to be copied into the system32 directory.

You restarted BOINC after copying the bin files into the system32 folder ?

Here is the link for 7.83.0 - https://curl.se/windows/dl-7.83.0/curl-7.83.0-win64-mingw.zip

I haven't run my Win 7 boxes for a while but I doubt anything has changed that would make the tasks fail, I can try if 7.83.0 doesn't work for you.

That's okay.
You also need Curl on Win 7, Win 10 has it by default.

I'll try and find the instructions...

Your team mate posted here: https://boinc.loda-lang.org/loda/forum_thread.php?id=8&postid=142

However that mentions v7.83.1 which I found didn't work, others online said it was faulty so I found and installed v7.83.0 which worked fine.

Edit 2: There is a new 7.84.0 version here: https://curl.se/windows/ with a changelog but I can't remember what the actual fault was :O
I'd try 7.84.0 to see if that works before trying to find 7.83.0

I thought you knew how to do that as you have already added non-default items like Dashboard, Tweets and Slack workspace to the menu options.

With regard to your original post, you said you used that script but for some reason only the News sub-forum was created. Either there was a problem with the script or you changed it to only create the one for News ? The script shows all the default sub-forums that a new project (using new server code) would have.

Was going to add that the 10k badge hadn't been assigned but saw it was granted before I posted.
Guessing you ran the script again and it gave a second badge to those on 50k and above, but you've cleaned that up as well now !

Did mean to ask if you were planning on showing badges for all levels achieved or just the highest level achieved. Some projects do all, some projects just do the highest.
If you are planning on other badges for 'Submitted' then probably stick with just the highest credit level achieved.

Post:
Any strong objections against badges based on number of new and updated programs per user? We could scan the programs repository for "Submitted by ..." comments to calculate that score.

You have 4 categories being listed according to the repository, First, Faster, Better, Bad
I assume you thought of doing levels for some/all of these categories ?
No idea what sort of levels are being reached in the individual catergories or total in order to suggest badge levels for them.
What about posting levels attained just to the forum to begin with to guage the levels and perhaps an artistic person would come forth with badge designs based on catergory/ies on show ?

Whichever badges you decide to do the badge images should be put into this folder https://boinc.loda-lang.org/loda/img/ so that external sites can pick them up to show them elsewhere.
17) Questions and Answers : Bugs : Task validation (Message 405)
Posted 18 Jun 2022 by PDW
Post:
Yes, we also observed timeouts with 220611. To mitigate the issues, we have reduced the task size to 50% in the new app version 220612. We'd appreciate if you try it out. We'll investigate all issues.

220612 is an improvement but there is more to be done.

The majority of tasks now complete (on my hosts) at 2 hours or just after and all of those validate. [Have seen other hosts that regularly do them quicker and slower.]
I have also seen tasks that ran for 3, 4 or 5 hours that also completed and validated, they also received the appropriate credit for the longer run time.

However there are some tasks that run for the full 10 hours that then complete with the message "task loda reached time limit 36000".
Some of these tasks have been marked as 'Validate error' and got no credit but others have been marked as valid and given credit, the problem with these is that the credit is only equivalent to what a 2 hour task would have received, ie a fifth of what they should have received. In view of that I have taken to aborting tasks (when I have the opportunity) that I think (hope) might not finish before the 36000 timeout is reached. The hope is that another 1, 2 or even 3 tasks might run in that time that do get the appropriate credit. The practice isn't sustainable and the issue needs to be fixed please.

There is also the problem with the 'Error while computing' message (EXIT_CHILD_FAILED) but they are more environmental and have probably been happening since the project started. I think they are mostly down to user configuration issues with their own systems but I suspect some of them may also be due to problems at the server end, possibly network issues. I rarely get them but I see others with quite a lot.
18) Questions and Answers : Bugs : Are there checkpoints? (Message 404)
Posted 18 Jun 2022 by PDW
Post:
Hi Werinbert, checkpoints are written everytime the progress is updated. Similarly to your observations, we noticed issues with long-running tasks. Therefore we have reduced the taks size to 50% in 220612. We hope that this will reduce such issues. Thanks for reporting it.

I have recently seen a task that has been running for more than 5 hours without a checkpoint being written.

The idea of checkpoints is that they are written at regular periods, the default BOINC option is set to 60 seconds which always seemed to have been set quite low but can be configured by the user.
Could you write an entry in the logs to show when it is done ?
Assuming you can also fix that the entirety of each log is included as per my other post on that matter.

Post:
The logs do not show when a task has finished, I thought they used to but now I haven't seen a log that shows a complete run, they just stop part way through as though it ran out of room to write the rest of the log.

Today I have found...

2022-06-18 13:09:14|INFO |Finished mining after 151 minutes

That was what I thought indicated a log was complete.
There was just one occurrence of 'Finished mining' in my logs, Firefox won't tell me exactly how many individual logs are being shown, it just says over 1,000.
So where are the remainder of the log files, why aren't they showing a 'Finished mining' message ?
